Based on the identified target, the intervention activities have been developed to reach the above objectives. The project has been organizing several trainings for key primary school teachers. This time, we continue our training with the topic of Teaching Vietnamese as a second language, with expectation that primary school teachers can help ethnic minority children overcome language barrier and improve quality of primary school education in mountainous areas.
With that reason, Plan in Vietnam is seeking a consultancy team to conduct 2 training courses on Teaching Vietnamese as a second language for core trainer team, who will roll out this training with primary school teachers in 4 districts of Gia Lai provinces.
In order to improve primary school education quality and promote culturally appropriate education relevant to Bahnar context, the project will provide training for primary school teachers in development of low-cost, locally made playing and learning materials. In order to improve education quality in Bahnar area through capacity building, ECCD Gia Lai project plans to produce guidelines on school-based professional development sharing activities, which is expected to support a better application of effective and culturally appropriate based on lesson-study approach by preschool teachers. FHI 360, also known as Family Health International, is a non-governmental organization that works with the Vietnam Ministry of Health, other ministries, provincial health services, and local non-government organizations to promote the health and well-being of the Vietnamese population, particularly vulnerable and disenfranchised groups. Project “Vietnam/UNDP/UNEP Partnership Initiative for the Integration of Sound Management of Chemicals into Development Planning and Processes” is funded by UNDP/UNEP and implemented by Vietnam Chemicals Agency (VINACHEMIA), Ministry of Industry and Trade (MOIT).
