National Legislative Development Project in Vietnam (NLD)
PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
The National Legislative Development Project (NLD) aims to support the Government of Vietnam’s effort to reform the Vietnamese law-making process and improve the quality of economic legislation. The project is a bilateral initiative funded and supported by the Government of Canada through the Department of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development (DFATD).
VVOB is looking for a group of short term consultants on career guidance. This posts are for working with VVOB Vietnam to support its partner on e-learning course.
Since 2009, the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, in cooperation with the KfW Development Bank, supports the Ministry of Health in the framework of the Programme “Strengthening Provincial Health Systems” in implementing the Vietnamese strategies for improving access of all population groups to high quality health services. The programme operates on several levels, advising provincial and district health authorities as well as hospital management teams in demand-oriented and cost-efficient planning and modern management methods.
National Institute of Agricultural Planning & Protection (NIAPP) and CBM, the International Christian Development Organization, are developing Disability Inclusive Disaster Risk Reduction (DiDRR) activities in Vietnam. The project on Disability Inclusive Disaster Risk Reduction and Income Diversification for ethnic minorities of Viet Nam, supported by CBM Germany, will be implemented for a period of 3 years (2015-2017) in Kon Tum, the Central Highlands, Viet Nam. Key project partners are local government (Kon Tum city People Committee, Ward/Commune People Committees, Department of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs, Department of Agriculture and Rural Development…) and Kon Tum Association for the Support of Disabilities and Orphans (KASDO).
In implementation of Decision No 158/2008/QD-TTg dated 02/12/2008 by Prime Minister on approval of National Target Program to Respond to Climate Change (NTP-RCC), People’s Committee of Tra Vinh Province (PPC) issued Decision No 264/QD-UBND dated 11/02/2010 on promulgating the action plan to carry out NTP-RCC in Tra Vinh province.
Now, after 5 years, Climate Change Coordination Office (CCCO) would like to assess effectiveness and efficiency of the action plan and propose a revised plan for the period of 2016-2020 for approval of the PPC. Therefore, CCCO would like to hire national consulting group or individual to do that.
The International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies and Vietnam Red Cross are implementing the project “Enhancing the capacities of disaster risk reduction practitioners in Vietnam through the consolidation of best practices and lessons learnt for community based disaster risk management (CBDRM), vulnerability capacity assessment and disaster response mechanisms” funded by European Union humanitarian aid (ECHO).

Lux-Development, the Executing Agency for Bilateral Co-operation financed by the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, is assisting the Cao Bang Department of Agriculture and Rural Development to implement the project VIE036 “ Irrigation Cao Bang, Wise Use of Water and Agriculture” (WUWA).
VIE/036 WUWA is in its starting up phase and has a planned duration of five years.
