The main objective of this work is:
1) To study, design and transfer clean charcoal production technology which utilise bamboo node to make charcoal. Clean charcoal oven technology is defined as that producing low emissions and high wood to char conversion efficiency of at least 30%.
2) To assess opportunity to recover wood gases emitted from existing charcoal ovens to improve the energy use efficiency.
