Vietnam’s Ministry of Education and Training disbursed an estimated VND36 billion ($1.7 million) of state funding for its projects in March, up 20% from February, said the government’s General Statistics Office (GSO). In the first quarter, the ministry disbursed VND104 billion of state funding for its projects, down 6.1% from the same period last year and meeting only 16.7% of the whole-year target. Vietnam aims to disburse VND625 billion worth of state funding for education projects this year. (GSO Mar Edition)
