Vietnam has kicked off a school to train judges costing $3 million in Hanoi funded by South Korea, state media reported March 29. The project using non-refundable aid by the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) is the first step in cooperation between the two countries’ justice sector, the Cong an Nhan dan newspaper reported. The school including lecture halls, court-rooms, library and IT center aims to train around 5,000 court officials per year. Vietnamese court system includes People’s Supreme Court, provincial courts, district courts and military courts. The above courts are the organs of justice, one of three highest bodies including Legislature and the Executive in Vietnam.
