Vietnam will host the 46th International Chemistry Olympiad (ICHO 2014) on July 20-29 with the participation of 300 students from 80 countries and territories. The official exam questions for both the theoretical and practical sessions are being prepared while the purchase of equipment for the practical session will be completed by March, said the organizing board. Held annually since 1968, the ICO is one of the five contests - Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Information Technology – for international secondary students to show off their intellectual talents and build international relationships. Vietnam has participated in the ICO since 1997. In 2012, all four students of the Vietnamese team won medals, including one gold, two silvers and one bronze, at the 44th International Chemistry Olympiad (IChO), held in the U.S. from July 21-30.
