Minister of Education and Training Pham Vu Luan has met with representatives from 11 Flemish universities, who expressed their wish to further tertiary education cooperation with Vietnam. The meeting took place on the sidelines of the second Global Partnership for Education (GPE) Replenishment Pledging Conference in Brussels on June 25-28. Secretary General at Ministry of Education and Training of the Flemish community Micheline Scheys said Flanders will sign a cooperation agreement with Vietnam in exchanging lecturers and students. Both sides will mutually recognize degrees and certificates, as well as increase coordination in MA and doctorate training, she added. Belgium annually grants scholarships for about 30 Vietnamese students, said Director of the Wallonia-Brussels International (WBI) Cooperation Agency Philippe Suinen. (vietnamplus.vn Jun 28)
