North Hanoi branch of Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV) has decided to give a VND700 billion ($33.82 million) credit for building a new trauma and orthopedic hospital in Ho Chi Minh City. Covering on a site of 3.6 hectares in Binh Chanh district, the 11-storey facility will have 500 sickbeds and advanced medical equipment, the Thoi Bao Kinh Te Sai Gon newspaper reported June 22, giving no more detail about the project. Once completed, the hospital is expected to better healthcare services and meet the rising demand of people in the country’s most populous city and those from neighboring areas.
