100 poor households in the border Commune of Anong, Tay Giang District, Quang Nam Province have most recently received access to electricity and have been presented with a number of rice and maize seedlings for crop production. Young volunteers have gone down to the locality to help install electrical lines to bring electricity to farmers’ houses and provide them with the techniques of wet rice cultivation and breeding freshwater fish. Besides, youths were also provided with skills to organize youth union’s activities. Volunteer doctors and nurses also offered free health check-ups and medicines to more than 200 local people.
