The Military Zone 7 Command has recently reviewed 10 years of implementation of the Central Party Committee’s Instruction No.6 on strengthening healthcare network at grassroots level.Over the past years, the unit socialized its organisation, and brought into play resources in developing healthcare facilities, purchasing medical equipment for hospitals and infirmaries; and actively trained local doctors, in contribution to promoting the service quality.The unit’s hospitals examined and treated over 2 million local patients. They also gave free check-ups and medicines to 70,000 beneficiaries, 23,000 residents in rural areas, presented 17,000 gifts, worth VND 2.4 billion, to needy people, and sent delegations of doctors to Cambodia, as well as established health teams to examine patients on Truong Sa Dong Island.
