The first program, “Honouring Golden Hearts to Agent Orange Victims”, in the southern region, took place in Ho Chi Minh City on March 16th by the Vietnam Association for Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin (VAVA), in association with the HCMC Association for Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin, People’s Army Newspaper and the ASEAN C&C Company. The organizers presented Certificates of Gratitude to 23 outstanding groups and individuals with great contributions to Vietnamese AO victims. At the meeting, singer Duc Tuan, as the goodwill ambassador, called for donations from the public to the VAVA to fulfill its goals of building 55 care centers for AO victims, 500 compassionate houses, granting 1,100 scholarships, and creating 1,100 jobs for children of AO victims.
