A landmine suddenly exploded on March 13, leaving a person injured in Vietnam’s central province of Thua Thien-Hue while doing earthwork for building houses. The victim, a 40-year-old woman from Thuy Phu district had a part of her right leg amputated as a result of the explosion, the Thanh Nien newspaper reported Mar 16. (Thanh Nien Mar 16 p18)
