The Central Highlands province of Kon Tum was urged to enhance its sustainable development to prevent and reduce poverty by speeding up job creation and escape from poverty by 2015.Politburo member and permanent member of the Party Central Committee Secretariat Le Hong Anh made this suggestion to Kon Tum province during a ceremony in this locality yesterday to mark its 100th anniversary of establishment.Praising the province’s achievements, he asked Kon Tum authorities to enhance the education about the revolutionary tradition, improve the capacity of officials, Party members and people, enrich people’s spiritual and material life, as well as restore, preserve and promote the ethnic minority groups’ cultural identities.The locality should regularly foster building a strong national defence and security depending on people, ensure political security and social order, and promote solidarity, friendship and co-operation with Laos and Cambodia, Politburo member Anh added.On behalf of Party and State, the Party official presented the Ho Chi Minh Order to the provincial Party Committee and authority, as well as the local army and people.
