A festival, themed “Vietnamese youngster in the preservation and promotion of traditional cultural values”, will take place in the Culture–Tourism Village of Vietnamese Ethnic Groups on April 16th and 17th. The event, organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union to welcome the Vietnam Ethnic Minority Cultural Day on April 19th and respond to the Youth Year 2011, is expected to attract about 1,000 youths from ethnic groups nationwide. During the festival, including a conference to review achievements of young people at HCM Mausoleum Square, a meeting with the Party and State leaders, a seminar under the theme “Vietnamese youngster in preservation and promotion of traditional cultural values during the integration process”, a youth camp, and traditional sport games. Besides, there will be a meeting to observe the Vietnam Ethnic Minority Cultural Day and honor outstanding individuals in the preservation and promotion of traditional cultural identities.
