Study encouragement funds across the country have raised VND10 trillion (USD480 million) in funding for scholarships and bonuses for students and teachers over the past 15 years. The National Study Encouragement Fund raises over VND700 billion (USD34 million) a year to provide scholarships for over three million students annually, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Study Encouragement Association Professor Dr. Pham Tat Dong said at a meeting on September 20 to mark the 15th founding anniversary of the association. The association has established branches in all localities nationwide, with over 7.5 million members. It has over 10,000 public learning centers, which train around 10 million people per year.
