The Central Highlands province of Dak Nong has launched two general hospitals with a combined cost of VND231 billion ($10.9 million) in the border districts of Cu Jut and Dak Mil in a bid to improve health care services for locals. According to Ngo Minh Truc, Head of the provincial Health Department, construction of Cu Jut general hospital commenced in 2010 with an investment of VND116 billion from government bond sources. The hospital has a capacity of 150 beds, replacing its 50-bed predecessor to provide enhanced care for ethnic minority groups, he said. Construction on the other hospital, located in Thuan An commune, Dak Mil district, began in 2012 at a cost of $115 billion. It also has 150 beds and modern equipment.
