Handicap International Federation is a non-governmental organisation created in 1982. HI mission is to assist people in situations of disability or vulnerability, whatever may be the underlying cause and environment. This is done through the implementation of multidisciplinary programmes concerning prevention, treatment, empowerment, integration and emergency intervention. HI has worked in Vietnam since 2001 and is developing projects targeting people living with disabilities, extremely vulnerable persons and persons living with HIV or AIDS.
For the project Inclusive Education, HI is seeking for one candidate willing to integrate and participate in their project and team as a:
Secretary - Translator - Interpreter - based in our project site in Bac Kan
Responsibilities:
- Translation and interpretation (oral and written) duties in a precise, objective, accurate and timely manner
- Communication with local and national partners, and other HI offices
- Secretarial tasks – typing, filing, meeting organization, daily office management
- Stationary management
- Organization of HI staff and consultants mission - authorization, travel and accommodation booking
- Cultural awareness instruction for our expatriates
- Assistance to the Site Administrator when required
- Assistance to the practical organization of project activities
Requirements:
- University degrees relevant to the position
- Fluency in English and Vietnamese is essential
- 2 years experience in translation and interpretation
- Experience as a secretary or junior administrative assistant
- Experience in working with international NGOs or organisations
- Well organized, has good attention to details and accurate respect of deadlines.
- Good command of pack Office (Word, Excel or PowerPoint)
Contract duration: 8 months
