VVOB Viet Nam is currently coordinating with the Ministry of Education and Training to implementing the project “iPLAY Vietnam – Integrating Play-based Learning Activities among Young learners in Vietnam” in Lai Chau, Ha Giang, Thai Nguyen, Ha Noi, Quang Tri, Da Nang, Quang Ngai and Ho Chi Minh City (12/2019 – 11/2023) to integrate learning through play in the public primary schools in Vietnam.
As such the objectives of the new General Education Curriculum that has been issued by the Vietnamese government will be met by helping young learners to acquire a breadth of skills, including cognitive as well as social, creative, physical and emotional skills. To this effect, the project will train (1) primary school teachers on how to apply play-based-learning methodologies in the context of the new curriculum and (2) school leaders and district officials on how to create an enabling environment for teachers to integrate learning-trough-play including through the facilitation of school-based teacher professional development.
To facilitate the series of training workshop on applying LtP to Doet, Boet staffs, school leader and primary teacher; and support the teacher applying LtP by a Teacher professional development (TPD) facilitation plan for education management staff at Province and district level, VVOB Vietnam is currently looking for 34 qualified candidates for position of the National trainer on Learning through Play in Primary Education for iPLAY projects.
