Wildlife Conservation Society, Viet Nam Program (WCS) is seeking for a Supplier who provides laboratory testing from July 2021 to June 2022 to determine the Rickettsia pathogens using the following technique:
- DNA extraction from original samples using Realtime-PCR Protocols or equivalent
- Rickettsia testing using Realtime RT-PCR testing or equivalent: 2 protocols/samples (Scrub typhus and R. prowazeki)
- Conduct deeper diagnostic using conventional PCR and Sequencing for samples were Pos- with Realtime RT-PCR
The supplier should meet the following requirements:
1. Supplier:
- Has the ability to perform PCR testing and sequencing in animal samples
- Has at least 5 years of experience in research or testing Rickettsia using PCR and sequencing technique
2. Laboratories:
- Location in Hanoi is preferred
- Has at least minimum equipment for PCR testing and sequencing: conventional thermal cycler; agarose gel electrophoresis and documentation equipment; dedicated pipette sets for RNA extraction, PCR preparation, nested PCR preparation, post PCR (gel loading, handling of post PCR products for sequencing), pipetting of controls; -80 freezer with power back-up; micro-centrifuge; vortex, sequencing machine
- Has handled at least 500 Rickettsia samples for the last 12 months.
- Has the ability to timely provide test results to WCS
- Has the ability to timely provide invoices for laboratory fees following completion of diagnostic testing.
3. Proposals should include:
- Supplier profile
- Copy of Rickettsia researches have been done
- Photos of lab set up and equipment (how are rooms, PCR, and sequencing equipment set up)
- List of technical staff at the laboratory
- Signed and stamped quotation (use the attached form)
