Organization/Project Overview:
Plan is an international humanitarian, child centred community development organization without religious, political or governmental affiliation. Plan’s vision is a world in which all children realize their full potential in societies that respect people’s rights and dignity.
Plan in Vietnam re-established its presence in the country in 1993 and is now working in 145 communes/wards in 33 districts situated in 15 provinces in northern and central Vietnam. The program directly impacts around 226,000 children and their families.
Since 2009 the Project on Rights Based Approach to Development Integration in Programming (RBAD Project) has been developed and carried out in order to achieve more effectiveness and sustainability of child centered community development programs/projects of Plan in Vietnam. The project is now at the end of the implementation phase and thus in need of an external final evaluation.
For this reason, Plan in Vietnam is looking for an international consultant. The overall aim of this consultancy is to assess the implementation of RBAD Project upon its completion through Plan’s criteria and to collect key lessons learnt from the project implementation and management.
Consultancy duration: Mid of November – End of December 2011
Key requirements:
- Proven extensive experience of at least seven years in rights based approach and child rights programming at national and international levels. Relevant experiences in Vietnam or Asia will be an advantage.
- Knowledge and Experience with strategy development, especially in term of advocacy
- Demonstrated ability to manage his/her own work with minimal supervision;
- At least a Masters degree in a relevant field (e.g. law, social sciences, development studies)
