With a sustainable history working in Vietnam, Samaritan’s Purse has developed strong relationships with partners to conduct projects in 6 sectors: health, WASH, education, protection, livelihood and relief.
Samaritan’s Purse in Vietnam’s projects are being implemented in Hanoi, Quang Nam, the central province of Vietnam, Tra Vinh, the south of Vietnam and across the northern provinces of Lao Cai, Yen Bai and Lai Chau where the majority of people are from ethnic minority groups, often the most vulnerable or marginalized sections of the population.
We are now seeking highly qualified candidate for the following position:
Position Title: Education Independent Collaborator
Grade: Independent Collaborator
Position Duration: 16 days/months, from 15/10/2022 to 30/06/2023
Duty Station: Hanoi
Reports To:
Education Project Coordinator
Job Summary:
The Education Independent Collaborator will support to develop the training materials conducting trainings at Hanoi projects; support with logistic and administrative work to conduct project activities and support Education team to plan and conduct events in Hanoi with Grounded to Grow Project.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support Project Coordinator with project planning, start up, implementation, and monitoring. Conduct activities on schedule, within scope and budget.
- Support and organize life-skills trainings, character trainings, and events with students, teachers.
- Monitor project activities conducted by Samaritan's Purse and partners.
- Support with mentoring of student beneficiaries.
- Collect and compile information from surveys, questionnaires, and other records into monthly and annual reports.
- Coordinate with partners to plan and implement activities.
- Complete internal financial processes.
- Other logistical and administrative tasks as assigned.
Education/Experience Needed:
- Bachelor’s Degree in education, social work, child development or associated field.
- Experience working in education or related field. Preferred experience in student training.
- Experience in NGO project implementation or formal training.
Skills Required:
- Strong willingness and passion to help vulnerable and disadvantaged in Vietnam.
- Good in English and Vietnamese-written and spoken. Good communication skills.
- Excellent planning, time management and organizational skills; high level of integrity.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and email.
- Ability to travel frequently to remote areas in varying weather conditions.
- Humble team player; ability to be flexible and adapt.
Samaritan's Purse in Vietnam is a Christian nonprofit organization. Candidates having working experience in a similar kind of organization will be an advantage.
