Background
VVOB is a non-profit organisation with over 35 years of experience in improving the quality of education systems from a rights-based perspective. VVOB has currently long-term partnerships with education actors in 9 countries in the South (Cambodia, DR Congo, Ecuador, Rwanda, South Africa, Suriname, Vietnam, Zambia and Uganda) and in Belgium/Flanders. Its annual budget is around 13 million euros.
In Vietnam, VVOB is currently implementing the following programmes/projects:
- Preschool Teachers Apply Language-rich Teaching Skills and Knowledge (TALK) (2022-2026)
- Integrating Play-based Learning Activities for Young learners (iPLAY) (2019-2023), funded by The LEGO Foundation.
- Blended Learning for Educators in a Global Network for Development (BLEND), funded by The LEGO Foundation.
- Communities of practice Inspiring Teaching Innovations in the early Education System in Vietnam – Phases 3 (CITIES 3)
This call is for all projects covering the period from 2022 to 2026.
Objectives and scopes of the call
VVOB plans to support over 1,000 school leaders, teachers, BOET and DOET who participate in the digital literacy trainings and online PLC trainings in BLEND project with monthly internet support of VND200,000 for 13 months in total.
In addition, VVOB plans to support participants in other projects who join depth interviews, focus group discussions, online trainings for capacity development, monthly mobile phone supports for VVOB staff.
Total budget for internet and mobile support is estimated between EUR130,000 and EUR138,500 for the period from April 2022 to December 2026.
VVOB plans to pay internet/ mobile support to participants/ staff by :
- Providing phone card numbers via SMS under VVOB’s name. The list of recipients with their mobile phone numbers will be collected and sent to the top-up provider for arrangement.
- Direct top-up service. The list of recipients with their mobile phone numbers will be collected and sent to the top-up provider for arrangement.
The bidder can propose other options that are more suitable but still meet the requirement of VVOB.
