POSITION: Administrative Assistant (Medical Unit)
CLOSING DATE: July 26, 2023
WORK HOURS: Full-time, 40 hours/week.
STARTING BASIC SALARY: US $13,827.00/year
ALLOWANCEAND BENEFITS: Tet bonus, annual salary increase, leave benefits, health benefits, local social security program, miscellaneous benefits allowance and other allowances.
BASIC FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION
The incumbent of this position will oversee, direct, and execute all administrative functions and responsibilities for the Medical Unit as assigned by the Direct Hire Foreign Service Medical Specialists (Regional Medical Officer, Regional Medical Officer/Psychiatrist, and Medical Provider). The incumbent will act as a liaison and facilitator between the medical unit staff, officers from different sections of the Mission, family members, Locally Employed (LE) Staff, personnel from other agencies and regional posts, and medical, nursing and ancillary health services within the local community. The incumbent is under the direct supervision of the Medical Provider.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Education: Two years of general college or university studies is required.
Experience: Minimum one (1) year of experience within a healthcare facility as an Office Manager or Administrative Assistant is required.
Languages:
Good working knowledge in Speaking/Reading/Writing English is required. (This will be tested.)
Good working knowledge in Speaking/Reading/Writing Vietnamese is required.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Be proficient in Microsoft (MS) Outlook; MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint).
- Be flexible, service-oriented, self-motivated and able to work within the existing Mission structure.
- Ability to organize, multi-task, prioritize and work under pressure.
- Possess strong customer service, verbal communication and listening skills.
- Writing skill (This will be tested)
