Vietnam has set up the environment health management department in line with the Prime Minister’s Decree 22, 2010 to boost the management of the environment in the health sector. The department, which is under the Ministry of Health, will officially operate from May 1, the Tuoi tre newspaper reported. Minister of Health Nguyen Quoc Trieu appointed Nguyen Huy Nga, former chief of the MoH’s Department of Preventive Medicine and Environment as the department’s head.
