Ho Chi Minh City Eye Hospital performed free-of-charge operations for more than 100 poor cataract patients in the central province of Quang Ngai’s Duc Pho district on Nov 4. Under the charitable program, up to 150 another patients in the district were also provided with medical checkups and free medicines, the Phap Luat Thanh Pho Ho Chi Minh newspaper reported Nov 5. This is the fourth time HCM City-based hospital has carried out the humanitarian activities in Duc Pho district. HCM City Eye hospital and hospital No.175 will conduct a similar program to help poor people in Phnom Penh, Cambodia from Nov 5-9. (Phap Luat TP.HCM – HCM City Law Nov 5 p9)
