Ho Chi Minh City authorities have approved an Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) bid for the Nhum Spring wastewater treatment facility. The construction of the plant which has a daily treatment capacity of 65,000 cubic meters is scheduled to be completed by 2012, local authorities said on its website Jan. 11. The Nhum Spring is receiving a large amount of untreated industrial wastewater and the polluted spring is threatening the Dong Nai River.
