Dengue fever has attacked 55,430 people in Vietnam since early this year, including 42 deaths, the Ministry of Health’s Preventive Medicine Department said. Of the infection cases, the southern region tops the list with 30,307 patients, including 30 fatalities, following by the central provinces with 23,134 affected people and eight deaths. The country identified 19,600 dengue fever patients in Aug, rising 243.86% on-month and including 11 deaths, the department added.
