The central province of Quang Nam today kicked off the construction of a 500-sickbed hospital that costs $35 million funded by the government of South Korea. This is the largest non-refundable aid project financed by South Korea, the Communist Party of Vietnam said on its website Jan. 20. Once completed in August of 2011, the hospital is expected to become the biggest one in the south central region, contributing to improve health care services for locals. Through the Korean International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), South Korea has provided more than $100 million in non-refundable aid for Vietnam since 1994.
