In Hanoi, today July 9, agreement signing ceremony on cooperation building 2010 “Canon friendship school chain” was held between representatives from Canon Vietnam Co., Ltd, Phu Tho, Lang Son and Bac Ninh provinces. Implementing since 2007, the project aims to bring the better study conditions for children – future masters of the country. Up to now, Canon Vietnam Co., Ltd. handed over 16 schools in Thanh Hoa, Hoa Binh, Tuyen Quang, Yen Bai, Ha Giang, Lang Son, Lai Chau provinces… Speaking at the event, Mr. Sachio Kageyama, CVN General Director, expressed: “The children are country’s future. If they are provided a good studying conditions, the country will have a bright future. In the next years, Canon Vietnam will make further efforts to contribute to the industrialization and modernization process as well as the development of education sector in Vietnam”.
This year’s project has a new point compared with the previous years. Besides building a new school for Phuong Linh primary school, Thanh Ba district, Phu Tho province, it is also going to give financial support to build supporting system in schools, including toilet and hand washing area for 3 schools of Que Vo, Tien Du and Chi Lang districts. Moreover, the Company will provide bookshelves and teaching/studying equipments like books, computers, studying tools… Mr. Dinh Phu Huu, chairman of the Thanh Ba District People’s Committee, Phu Tho province, sincere thanked for Canon Vietnam’s practical timely help to creating good study environment for pupils, saying that the project will partially meet the demands on schools for the teachers and pupils in mountainous and remote areas in Vietnam.
