Authorities of Vietnam’s southern province of Bac Lieu have spent VND50 billion to help raise living conditions for poor locals, the Thanh Nien newspaper reported Sept 16. The money will be used on building 1,000 charity houses and providing 60 hectares of land for production for the poor in Bac Lieu city’s Vinh Trach Dong commune.
