Lux-Development, the Executing Agency for Bilateral Co-operation financed by the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, is assisting the Provincial People’s Committee (PPC) of Cao Bang and a number of technical line ministries and departments by delivery of international and national TA and capacity building to implement the initiative called “Developing Business with the Rural Poor”, which is part of a province-wide programme in the Cao Bang province - predominantly designed by- and financed through- loan support from the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), commenced in mid-2008.
The recently launched project VIE/029 - “Technical Assistance” (TA) towards “Developing Business with the Rural Poor in Cao Bang” has planned duration of 3 years.
Lux-Development Support Team lead by a Chief Technical Advisor (CTA) is looking for candidates to fill the following positions:
01 ADMINISTRATIVE AND FINANCE OFFICER (AFO)
Key responsibilities:
- Administration of Project Office;
- Collaboration with Chief Technical Advisor (CTA) on administrative, procurement and finance matters;
- Other tasks that may be required by the CTA.
- Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor degree in Accounting, Banking/Finance, Business Administration and/or Foreign Language with short-term courses in finance and/or banking or relevant majors;
- At least 3 year-experience in finance/accounting field; Experience working with development sector/international organisations is a preference.
- Knowledge and experience working with accounting software.
- Very good English in speaking, reading, and writing.
- Proficient with the MS Office package and Vietnamese keyboard solutions;
- Excellent communication skills;
- Innovative and creative, team player;
- Willingness to work in a remote rural mountainous area of Vietnam.
01 PROJECT ASSISTANT/INTERPRETER (PAI)
Key responsibilities:
- Support CTA in the project coordination
- Assist CTA in the project management
- Translation and interpretation
- Other tasks that may be required by the CTA.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor degree (Master degree would be an asset) in English, specifically, major in Interpretation/ Translation; having background in economics, business administration and management, or social science would be an advantage;
- At least 3 years of relevant experience;
- Experience in professional translation/interpretation and project management;
- Demonstrated knowledge in the technical field of the project
- Prior working experience in international donors’ project would be an advantage
- Excellent team player with strong communication, organizational and presentation skills;
- Good computer skills, especially in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Internet.
- Willingness to work in a remote rural mountainous area of Vietnam.
01 ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT (AA)
Key responsibilities:
- Assist AFO in administration of the project office
- Assist the PAI in interpretation and translation
- Other tasks that may be required by the CTA, AFO and PAI
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor degree in English, specifically in Interpretation/Translation Major; having background in economics, social science would be an advantage;
- At least 1 year experience in professional translation/ interpretation
- Demonstrated knowledge in the technical field of the project
- Prior working experience in international donors’ project would be an advantage
- Excellent team player with strong communication, organizational and presentation skills;
- Good computer skills, especially in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Internet.
- Willingness to work in a remote rural mountainous area of Vietnam
DURATION OF CONTRACT: One year, renewable (with two-month probation)
REMUNERATION:
- Salary, social and medical insurance: as per Lux-Development’s practices;
- Housing allowance: 150 USD/month for those who reside outside Cao Bang;
- Transportation support: project provides bi-monthly shuttle from Cao Bang to Hanoi and vice versa
DUTY STATION: Cao Bang, Vietnam with occasional travels to Hanoi and other provinces.
