WB Approves $311M Water Envir Improvement Project in Vietnam Binh Duong

The World Bank (WB) has approved a water environment improvement project with a total investment of $311 million in Vietnam’s southern Binh Duong province, local media reported.

The project’s capital includes $231 million of loan from the WB. The rest is reciprocal capital from the state budget.

The project is expected to significantly improve water quality for around 550,000 citizens by 2032. It will increase the rate of treated wastewater from less than 10% to 32% in Tan Uyen city and from 17%-19% to 45% in Thuan An and Di An cities.
