Vietnam Yen Bai Wants to Access More Aid from Foreign NGOs
Vietnam’s northern province of Yen Bai expects the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations to support it in accessing more aid from foreign non-government organizations (NGOs), said Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Ngo Hanh Phuc.
At the meeting, Mr. Phuc informed the delegation about the province’s socioeconomic development situation and the results of the people-to-people diplomacy of Yen Bai province in the past time.
As many as 32 foreign NGOs have licenses to set up representative and project offices or operate in Yen Bai province, including 11 organizations with programs, projects, and non-projects.
In 2022, the province had 47 programs, projects, and non-projects implemented with a total disbursement value of $4.4 million, helping raise the total of programs, projects, and non-project implemented in the province to 34, valued at $16.29 million.
