Vietnam, U.S. Sign MoU to Promote Education-Training Cooperation

Vietnamese Deputy Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Van Phuc and representatives of the U.S. Department of State sealed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on education and training cooperation in San Francisco on November 15 (local time) within the APEC Economic Leaders’ Week 2023.

Accordingly, the two countries will strengthen exchange and dialogue on education and training between Government officials and leaders, as well as promote the exchange of managers, researchers, lecturers, teachers, students, and volunteers in the field of education and training.

Both sides will also pay attention to the recognition of qualifications and certificates, and the capacity development of teachers, lecturers, and educational administrators.

In addition, Vietnam and the U.S. will expand cooperation in STEM education, scientific research in the technology, semiconductor, and microchip fields, as well as English teaching in Vietnam and vice versa.

The two nations are expected to promote private-sector cooperation to support the implementation of education and training goals, and jointly hold educational workshops and exhibits in the future, and others.
