Vietnam Scientists Create new Nano Anti-Cancer Complex
The Institute of Material Science under the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology on October announced that it has successfully created Nano FGC complex, state media reported. Nano FGC complex is a new material to produce medicine for cancer treatment and prevention. The FGC complex contains elements that help kill free radicals, preventing cancer, healing injuries and boosting the body’s immunization system. The combined complex would have outstanding results compared with separate use of each material, according to Dao Van Phan, former head of the Hanoi Pharmacy University’s Pharmaceutical Faculty. Nano FGC complex will help increase cancer treatment rate, which currently is between 30%-40%, bringing new hope for cancer patients in Vietnam. According to statistics from the Ministry of Health, Vietnam reported some 150,000 new cancer cases, with 75,000 people being killed by cancer every year. (vietnamnet.vn Oct 11, laodong.com.vn Oct 11)
