Vietnam, Russia Strengthen Strategic Cooperation in Education, Sci-Tech
A delegation from Vietnam’s Ministry of Science and Technology (MoST), led by its Minister Huynh Thanh Dat, visited Russia on September 23-28 to enhance strategic cooperation between Vietnam and Russia in education, science, technology, and innovation.
At the working session with the Russian Ministry of Science and Higher Education, Vietnamese and Russian officials reviewed a decade of collaboration. They agreed to bolster joint efforts in materials science, new energy, artificial intelligence (AI), and automation.
Minister Dat suggested organizing the annual meetings of the Vietnam-Russia Joint Committee and regular joint research projects in both primary and applied sciences.
He also highlighted the importance of knowledge exchange, especially the transfer of advanced technologies that fit Vietnam’s needs, including materials science, new energy, environmentally friendly technologies, information technology, nanotechnology, AI, automation, and mechanical engineering.
For his part, Russian Minister of Science and Higher Education V.I. Falkov affirmed Russia’s commitment to education and scientific cooperation with Vietnam.
The Russian official invited Vietnam to co-host an event to celebrate the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations.
