Vietnam Mobilizes VND1,700T for Building New Rural Areas in Last 3 Years

Vietnam has mobilized more than VND1,700 trillion ($70.83 billion) for building new-style rural areas in the last three years, state media reported from a conference hosted by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD) on July 17 morning to review the program in 2021-2023.

So far, over 6,000 communes nationwide have met the criteria for new rural areas.

Besides, nearly 10,000 “One Commune, One Product” (OCOP) products have been rated three stars and above. The income per capita of rural residents have surpassed VND46 million per year. (VTV)
