Vietnam Ministry Launches Center for Environmental Monitoring Data Integration
The Vietnamese Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (MoNRE) opened a national center for data integration and processing and environmental monitoring network operation in Hanoi on May 14, local media reported.
The center, being managed and run by the Northern Center for Environmental Monitoring under the MoNREās Pollution Control Department, aims to integrate all environmental monitoring data into a common system, enable data sharing, and publicize information about nationwide environmental quality.
The center also looks to deploy some digital transformation models to ensure comprehensive, systematic, and highly trustworthy information to help effectively implement the national master plan on environmental monitoring for 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050.
The center is able to receive, process, and analyze automatic monitoring data about surrounding air, surface water, wastewater, exhaust, and groundwater from nearly 2,000 monitoring stations across 63 localities nationwide.
