Vietnam Institute, World Vision Launch Initiative to Combat Child Malnutrition

On August 5, the National Institute of Nutrition and World Vision International in Vietnam launched the ENOUGH Nutrition Initiative to end child malnutrition, local media reported.

Addressing the ceremony on Hanoi, Deputy Minister of Health Nguyen Tri Thuc emphasized that child health and nutrition are top priorities in Vietnam’s government action programs. Vietnam has made significant progress in reducing child malnutrition, decreasing the stunting rate from 29.3% in 2010 to 19.6% in 2020.

Chief Representative of World Vision International in Vietnam Doseba Tua Sinay stated that the ENOUGH initiative exemplifies his organization’s commitment to child health and sustainable child welfare. He called for collaboration from central and local government agencies, international organizations, development partners, businesses, children, and communities to plan and allocate resources optimally, further enhancing Essential Nutrition Actions.
