Vietnam, Foreign Students Join Global Village 2011 in HCM City

As many as 250 students from 20 countries in the Asia-Pacific region joined the cultural exchange festival Global Village 2011 in Vietnam’s southern metropolis of Ho Chi Minh City Mar 20. The event, the first of its kind in the city, marked the participation of almost 300 Vietnamese undergraduates from many universities in the city together with the international students from Japan, the U.S., South Korea, Australia and Singapore. The festival, hosted annually by Association Internationale des Étudiants en Sciences Économiques et Commerciales (AIESEC), the world’s largest student-driven organization focusing on cultural exchange and arts performances including traditional costumes, cultural games and traditional dances as well as youth leadership development. The event is expected to bring Vietnamese students closer to international culture through students and promote their abilities through traditional and creative values.
