Vietnam Expands Int’l Cooperation to Address New Challenges in Education: Prof.
Vietnam is expanding international cooperation in education beyond traditional student and faculty exchanges, said Associate Professor Dr. Bui Thanh Nam, Vice Chairman of the Council of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, under the Vietnam National University-Hanoi.
The Associate Professor made the remarks at a thematic discussion on “21st Century Challenges for Traditional Education Systems in APEC Economies” at the Eastern Economic Forum in Russia on September 4.
Dr. Nam also discussed the University of Social Sciences and Humanities’ efforts in seeking new collaboration models, such as mutual credit recognition, to enable students to benefit from foreign education while completing their programs in Vietnam without excessive financial strain.
The discussion featured representatives from top universities in Russia, China, and Japan.
