Vietnam Disburses $43.9M State Funds for Health Projects in 2011

Vietnam is estimated to have disbursed VND922 billion ($43.9 million) wrth of state funds for health projects this year, surpassing 2.5% of the whole year’s set target. The figure represents an on-year slight rise of 5.2%, the government’s General Statistics Office (GSO) said late Wednesday. In December, the state fund disbursement for such projects stood at VND70 billion, versus the revised figure of VND68 billion in November, it added. The domestic health sector is forecast to need a total investment of VND120 trillion in the next five years, with VND100 trillion for upgrading provincial hospitals, VND10 trillion for expanding intensive health operations, and between VND5 trillion and VND10 trillion for manpower training.
