Vietnam Disburses $30.48M State Funds for Health Projects in Jan-Aug
Vietnam is estimated to have disbursed VND634 billion ($30.48 million) worth of state funds for its health projects in the first eight months of this year, fulfilling 70.5% of the year’s set target. The figure represents a slightly on-year rise of 6.7%, the government’s General Statistics Office (GSO) said. In Aug, the state fund disbursement for such projects stood at VND105 billion, versus VND96 billion in July, it added. The domestic health sector is forecast to need a total investment of VND120 trillion in the next five years, with a majority of VND100 trillion for upgrading provincial hospitals, VND10 trillion for expanding intensive health operations, and between VND5 trillion-VND10 trillion for manpower training.
