U.S. Foundation to Build Care Center for Needy Children in Central Vietnam
Authorities in the central Vietnamese city of Danang have approved a project by a U.S. foundation to build a care center and kindergarten for needy children, the Tuoi Tre reported. Sponsored by Half the Sky Foundation with a budget of $3.4 million, the center is intended to take care of children of workers at the Hoa Khanh Industrial Park. Accordingly, One Sky Danang will provide disadvantaged children residing in the industrial site with a safe and comprehensive learning environment. The center, namely One Sky Danang, will be constructed at the Thanh Vinh 1 residential area Lien Chieu District. Covering a total area of over 3,800 square meters, this project is expected to feature office buildings, multipurpose rooms, security areas, classrooms, and a playground for children from six to thirty-six months.
