UK Launches 2nd Phase of Program to Support Low-Carbon Projects in Vietnam

The British Embassy in Hanoi has announced the initiation of the second phase of the climate finance accelerator (CFA) program to support low-carbon projects in Vietnam, state media reported.

The embassy is looking for pre-feasibility projects that need to raise capital of $5 million or more. The application period is from August 23 to October 4.

The CFA is a £11.8 million ($14.82 million) technical assistance program funded by the International Climate Finance (ICF), through the UK government’s Department for Energy Security and Net Zero (DESNZ). The first phase of CFA Vietnam included nine innovative low-carbon projects seeking a total of over £500 million investment from sectors including renewable energy, energy efficiency, e-mobility, circular economy, and waste management.
