Three Major ODA-funded Transport Projects in Vietnam Sluggish by End-Apr

Three major transport projects funded by official development assistance (ODA) in Vietnam remained sluggish by the end of April due to slow site clearance, according to the Transport Construction Investment Management Authority under the Ministry of Transport.

Specifically, the Northern Mountain Provinces Transport Connectivity Project, funded by the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and the Australian government, was 11% behind the revised schedule.

A project to upgrade weak bridges on National Highways, funded by the South Korea Economic Development Co-operation Fund (EDCF), was over 3% behind schedule. Meanwhile, subproject 1A under the first phase of Tan Van-Nhon Trach road, funded by EDCF, was also 11% behind schedule.
