Providing Eye Check-Ups, Treatment to 600 Poor People

The Club of Young Doctors in the Red river delta province of Nam Dinh has coordinated with the National Eyeology Hospital to provide free medicine and surgery to over 600 poor people. Fifty patients suffering from cataracts were given with free surgery at the mobile clinic by the Central Eyeology Hospital. Each surgery cost VND1.2 million. Local people were also provided with information about eye care and eye disease prevention. (cpv.org.vn May 23)
