Hundreds of UXOs were exposed May 10 as work began on setting up a pig farm in Nghe An Province in north central Vietnam. Hundreds of bombs have been found in Nghe An Province in north central Vietnam as work began last week on establishing a big pig farm. A Wednesday report by news website VnExpress said the bombs were seen on May 10 in Dien Chau District while workers were digging in the area. The bombs were found half a meter underground and scattered over ten square meters in the former war zone. Some of the bombs had rusted while many still looked brand new, the report said. Locals have taken several bombs to sell to scrap metal dealers while construction is proceeding near the bomb area. The district military agency has said it plans to remove the bombs.
