Overseas Vietnamese in Ukraine Give $4,200 for AO victims

In Hanoi, on August 23, Colonel Hong Thanh Quang, Vice Editor in Chief of the People’s Public Security Newspaper, presented $4,200 on behalf of the Overseas Vietnamese community in Odessa city (Ukraine) for the Vietnam Association of Victims of Agent Orange/dioxin (VAVA). The money was collected during the 3rd anniversary of the Odessa Business online newspaper and an award ceremony for the press contest “Entrepreneur and community” held at the Odessa theatre on August 13. Senior Lieutenant-General Nguyen Van Rinh, Chairman of VAVA, expressed his thanks to the Overseas Vietnamese community in Odessa, highly appreciating the contributions of the People’s Public Security Newspaper in sponsoring and mobilizing Vietnamese people to support AO victims in the last several years. He hoped to see more support, from not only Vietnamese in Ukraine but also other Overseas Vietnamese communities around the world, to help partially relieve the pains of AO victims in the fatherland.
