Over 100 U.S. Universities to Attend Education Fairs in Vietnam

More than 100 universities and colleges from the U.S. have being taking part in education fairs in Vietnam’s cities of Hanoi, Danang and Ho Chi Minh City from Sept 7 to October 1, said the International Institute on Education (IIE). During the fairs, information on school syllabus, high value scholarships, and attractive majors from the leading universities will be introduced. Local students and parents will have chances to meet and hold talks with representatives from the U.S. schools to get more information about their education systems. Last year, the annual event was held in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi with the participation of 30 U.S. universities and colleges. Vietnam now ranks ninth among countries sending students to the U.S. with 13,112 students, Sanchez said, hoping that the number will double in the next five years, statistics from IIE showed.
